Journie was born in Boynton Beach Florida and is a third year majoring in health education and behavior with a minor in chemistry. She is currently working on imaging proteins associated with the process of wound healing and infectious disease. With a passion for medicine, she hopes to use mass spectrometry imaging in the future to research capsular contracture in plastic surgery.
