Hamayal Shahzad earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, where she researched the separation of lead from wastewater using electrocoagulation. She then completed her Master’s degree at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, focusing on the development of catalysts to improve oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions in water-splitting processes. In addition to her research, she served as a Laboratory Instructor, teaching and supervising Organic, Inorganic, and General Chemistry laboratory courses. In the fall of 2025, she joined the Prentice Group, where she is currently working on ozonolysis method development for the identification of lipid isomers.
