Narayanan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Amrita University, India, in 2018. Building on his foundational knowledge, he pursued a Master of Science in Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneshwar, graduating in 2021.
Following his academic training, Narayanan began his professional career as a Research Associate in the Analytical Research and Development (R&D) department at Aragen Life Sciences from 2022-2024. He joined the Prentice lab in the fall of 2024 and is working on ion/ion reactions for the analysis of isomeric lipids.
