Yingchan completed her B.S. in Chemistry at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2020. She joined the Prentice lab in the fall of 2021 and received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on elucidating mechanisms and characterizing energy surfaces of gas-phase charge inversion ion/ion reactions in mass spectrometry, particularly for high-resolution mapping of lipids. She has extensive experience in cutting-edge mass spectrometry technologies, computational modeling, and developing machine learning and deep learning workflows for interpreting complex imaging mass spectrometry data. Her work aims to advance ion/ion reactions development and enhance spatial resolution in analytical characterization.
