Julia received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Gordon College in 2018. While there, she worked with Professor Irv Levy to create and develop greener lab procedures for the Friedel-Crafts Acylation. Julia is interested in areas of research that include not only working with instrumentation, but also exploring biomedical applications. These interests led her to pursue her Ph.D. at UF, starting in the fall of 2018 working under Professor Prentice. She graduated from the Prentice lab in the fall of 2023 and took a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
